"Out and about we get far more complaints about Bigpond then any other broadband service." say's Wood's Computers owner Ken Wood. Whether Bigpond's problems show up more because of their market saturation or whether it's because they are the
third worst ISP in Australia remains to be seen. Since Bigpond was made into a monopoly on some services by the previous government, quality of service has dropped and prices have risen.
"Bigpond makes lots of money and spends lots of money on advertising and as a result their appears to be a large portion of the Australian market that thinks Bigpond is broadband" says Ken who goes onto to say "when in fact Bigpong are a pitiful excuse for a service company. Recently Telstra announced they were moving another 500 jobs offshore, which means 500 less Australian jobs and 500 more people in the Bigpond that speak Broken-English, or should I say Ingrish."
Ken also claimed "Another alarming trend which we can't fathom is customers running up multiple thousands of dollars in internet usage in a single month. If Telstra can sell capped plans that don't go over $59.00, why can't they let these customers off the hook when they have run up multiple thousands of dollars because they are not technically savvy?"
Ken conceded "OK we are biased, we offer a competing product - Westnet, but there are plenty of other good ISP's out there doing the right thing also. Internode and iiNet come to mind"

Vista change of heart
